Sometimes we end up getting caught in technology and trying to figure out what to use to make a certain product and how to build it. But that should be at a later stage. The most important thing is the idea. All things that revolutionized the world as we knew it, all of them started with an idea. And then trying to work out the logistics.

One more thing that helped Bush come up with such predictions was thinking of examples of use or use case of his products that he imagines which helped him in coming up with additional functionalities that may be required or may enhance the experience of using the product.

One shortcoming in the article, however, was that Bush tried to go back to dry photography and the photocell for trying to explain how all his visions would work, which is a little limiting and stops one from being open to other forms of new and existing technologies which may be able to perform the same task with better efficiency.

It is just how the saying goes, be rigid about your goals, but flexible with your methods. Unless one is open to new forms of technologies and thoughts, one cannot make any progress.
