Award-winning former war correspondent Sherine Tadros explains how she swapped career to become a human rights activist and gives a passionate defence of human rights in an age of rising authoritarianism. Tadros says she found it tough to remain as a neutral journalist during her days working for Sky News and Al Jazeera when she reported from war zones and witnessed brutal state repression.
Tadros explains how she now fights injustice through her work as a lobbyist at Amnesty International. Tadros is deputy director of advocacy and representative to the United Nations for Amnesty International. She has won awards for her human rights work and journalism including a Peabody Award, an Emmy nomination, and several Royal Television Society awards.
